Sobre Profe GardnerMy name is Michael Gardner, I am SO excited to have you (or your student) in class this year. This will be my 13th year of teaching; 6th year here at Skyline High School. This year I will only be teaching Spanish 2.
I previously taught for 7 years at an all-boys' private boarding school in Northeast Ohio, where I was coaching year-round and had numerous other responsibilities. While I was there I obtained my Masters degree in Education with an emphasis in Differentiation. While studying for my undergraduate degree, I did take a year off from my studies to study and live abroad in Salamanca, Spain. I am from the Sammamish area, having graduated from Eastlake High School before attending Washington State University. Before I left the great Pacific Northwest, I met my amazing wife and dragged her out to my first teaching position in Ohio. That is where we were married and began our family by having 3 amazing little boys. She began her undergraduate degree in Pscyhology before we returned, but now having completed her degree, she too has begun working in the district as a Paraeducator at Skyline as well. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you through this year and helping you navigate this year in your Spanish career here at Skyline! I hope that there are numerous ways that I will get to know you, your background and about your dreams for your future. I also am the Head Coach for the Freshman Football team and an assistant coach for Skyline's Baseball team. So, like I said, I look forward to getting to know you (and/or your student) much better. Good luck this year and Go Spartans!
